Statutory Sick Pay

Should any of your employees be unable to work due to illness, as their employers you will be responsible for paying them Statutory Sick Pay (SSP). These amounts will need to be paid in the same way as you would normally pay the individual’s salary and for the same period.

There are certain conditions that need to be met in order for your employees to qualify for SSP payments and these payments need to be recorded with your payroll records and reported as part of your year-end return.
