Payroll FAQs
We have detailed below some of the questions we are regularly asked.
Should you have a question that has not been answered please contact us and we will be happy to help.
When is the best time to transfer payroll providers, does this need to be at the start of a tax year?
We can arrange the transfer of your payroll can at any time in the tax year. As part of the set up process we will transfer over all cumulative, year-to-date payroll figures from your current payroll company.
What do we have to do to transfer payroll providers and is it a complicated process?
We will make the transfer of your payroll an amazingly simple process. We can contact your current providers for you to obtain all of the data that needs to be transferred. If you currently do your own payroll in house we can also provide an excel template to be populated. Alternatively we will accept the information in whichever format is convenient for you.
How long does it take to set up a payroll with Modina?
At the very start we will discuss the complexity of your payroll with you. Should your employees be mainly salary based we can arrange the set up of your payroll in a matter of days.
Should your payroll be particularly complex we would ask that we carry out one or two parallel runs with your existing provider, by doing pararell runs by the time we run a live payroll we can be confident that all anomalies are ironed out. We will of course not charge you for these parallel runs to be carried out, it is important to us that your payroll is correct before we go live.
Are there any additional charges that we are not aware of?
Our charges are fully inclusive and covers new starters, leavers, adjustments, reporting and support.
What about set-up fees?
We never charge set up fees, again this is all covered in our all inclusive fee.
How quickly can I expect our payroll processed?
We aim to provide a same day turnaround upon receipt of your payroll adjustments. However, if paying your employees by BACS you will need to allow for the 3 day BACS processing cycle.
